Week #9 was all about getting a  OBTA  title, Since known  sharks was out the water this week, Most bowlers went to Huntsville, Al.  for the TNBA. But  OBTA  still had $800.00 for a Sat. afternoon work out. First we would like to shout out the new members to the OBTA  $1800.00 12 week points leaders tour. Luther Whitaker, Kieth Kirby, Antonio Houston & Jonnie Jackson.  In the qualifying round bowlers got down to business. Charles Johnson started the first game with a disappointing 175, But comes back with 289, Then a perfect 300 game, Thats his second 300 game & the most on tour. Mike Williams was back after missing last week , Qualifying second behind Charles Johnson.

TOP  5  QUALIFIERS  AS FOLLOWS:

First  frame everyone knew it was going to be a grind out finals. Everyone marked in the first frame, But that was the start of many missed spares. Akil Razzak starts  strike, open, open,  While D. Hodo himself had a open within the first 4 frames. Charles Johnson fresh off of being top qualifier, Just couldn’t  find it in the money game. Errik Myers was in the money game  this week, OBTA  want to shout out Errik Myers for the only bowler to attend all 9 weeks of the tour, It pays off, Errik finds himself with out a title, but sixth in the points lead. Thanks for your participation E Nice. It was nick & tuck all the way to the 7^th frame. Only 2 bowlers had a double. Charles Johnson  fresh off his 300 game, had 136 in the 7^th, Still in the hunt for his first OBTA title.  D. Hodo with 144 in the 7^th .  Mike Williams was back in the money game to claim his title, He had 149 in the 7^th. Akil started  strike,open,open,spare, 4 bagger, To climb his way back in the runnings for a OBTA  title. Errik had 144 in the 7^th . In the 10^th frame it was on, Thanks to the guys missing spares in crunch time, Mike Williams took full advantage of the situation. Striking out in the 10^th for 217 & another  OBTA title & $800.00 & 45 points, Reminds me of the old M J   theme song.           (I want to be like MIKE)

Week #8 Was a very small field, But the show must go on. Robert Atkins showed up early, clearly upset about missing the cut last week. Nyce him self was suited up preparing for battle. Also missing last week cut. First we would like to shout out the new member to the OBTA  $1800.00  12 Weeks Points Leaders Tour. Danny Godfrey. Congrats goes out to Danny Godfrey for top qualifier, 979. Now its pressure time, The money game is here. The known sharks was back in the money game, Referring to Moneymaker Black & the Great Joe German , But knew to the money game, was , first timer, Danny Godfrey & OBTA  own, NYCE.  NYCE with a perfect 300 game, in the last game of qualifying, to push him to second high qualifier.                                                           Back in the money game from last week, Truck (Disel) Taylor.   Joe, Robert & Disel struck in the first frame, While Moneymaker & Danny spared, Nyce threw a spit his first frame. You could here the crowd muddering in the back ground who they thought was going to win. All I heard was Disel. Referring to Truck Taylor.  After 3 frames  Joe & Disel was the only ones with the front 3 bombs for strikes. While Moneymaker first 5 frames was, spare,strike,spare,spare,spare. Robert Atkins started the first 7 frames with out a double. Danny felt a little pressure, The pins wasn’t falling like in the qualifying round. Joe German front three, spare, double kept him in the running for another OBTA title. But it was to much Disel, The man was on fire, Coming out with the front 8, The youngest in the field this week. And it showed, His ball was like heated guided missles. Upset with himself for not winning the money game last week, He promptly avenge that lost. Now he sits in the 6^th spot of the Points Leaders Tour. With 4 weeks left who knows what the young fella will do.  Stay tune, It’s looks like a photo finish.

Week #7 Was one to remember, The spectators was there in full bloom, waiting to see great bowling. First we would like to shout out the new members to the OBTA $1800.00 12 Weeks Points Leaders Tour. Truck Disel Taylor, Big Lefty, Robert Atkins & OBTA own, (NYCE). In the qualifying round, Mike Williams was back, Missing week #6 cost him the points & money lead to Jason Sterner. TOP 5 QUALIFIERS AS FOLLOWS

But week #7 was with out Jason Sterner, Who was the points leader with 6 weeks left for the crowning of the first ever OBTA 12 Week Tour title Champ. First frame everyone threw perfect balls for strikes, Except Tarik McCrary & Jack Jackson. Mike Williams missed week #6, But was back to claim his title. He started front 3 bombs for strikes. Also making noise was Akil Razzak. Akil also started front 3 strikes. Back in the money game, The Great Joe German. Joe started front 3 missles for strikes, While Truck (Disel) , Jack Jackson & Tarik McCrary started slow. After 5 frames Mike Williams was leading with the front 4 then spare, Akil triple , spare, strike kept him in the hunt for his first OBTA title & $800.00. Tarik just couldn’t get going in the money game. Mike Williams was setting a blistering pace , With the front 4,spare then double. RESULTS OF WEEK #6

Week #6 was without the leading money & points leader Mike Williams, So the guys had to take full advantage of the opportunity, OBTA would like to thank the new bowlers to the tour, Ike Reese, Gary Blair, Anthony Stripling and Charles Johnson, We like to give congrats to Charles Johnson for a nice 300 game. To win all squad high, Beating out Joe German 299 game, Jason & Hodo 289 games, also Moneymaker 279 game.

TOP 5 QUALIFIERS AS FOLLOWS

The scores at week #6, was like unemployment, Sky high! Every bowler in the field was plus for the squad. Tarik McCrary average 201 for the squad, Unfortunately, He came in last place. Roger Butler had his break out squad, with numbers like, 257,224,248 & another 248, Great shooting B Boy. Kirby also had his break out squad, with numbers like, 256,279,238 and 245. Excellent shooting Kirby. But now it’s time for the money game, Kirby & B Boy was in the money game with 3 bowlers, That are known to the money game, Jason Sterner, Moneymaker and The great Joe German. Joe German fresh off his dominance the week before, & leading this week high qualifier with 1021, First frame the fight was on for a OBTA title & $800.00. Everybody , but Joe struck in the first frame. After 4 frames, It was Moneymaker & Jason Sterner with the front 4. Joe German goes spare, triple, spare, to keep his hope alive for a back to back OBTA title. Kirby with his excellent numbers early on , was clean, but didn’t have a double in 5 frames. The oldest in the field this week was Roger (B Boy) Butler. B Boy started double, open, spare,spare. After 6 frames, It was a 3 bowlers race. Moneymaker Black, Jason Sterner and The Great Joe German. Joe nutted up in the 8th frame, to dam near

cripple his chances of a back to back title. While Jason Sterner letting the field know, He is the one to beat. Moneymaker stumbled in the 7th frame missing the bucket, then struck out

                        RESULTS OF WEEK #5

Week #5 was nothing short of bowling at its best, First to arrive on the seen, Was no other than the leading money & points leader, Mike Williams. New to the OBTA 12wk tour, Clinton Barnes, Eugene Beeks and Mike Gossett. Neither fared well with the regular known sharks in the field. But atleast they got their feet wet. TOP 5 QUALIFIERS AS FOLLOWS

In the money game is where they got down to business, Out the gate first frame everybody threw
bombs for strikes. Sounds like game on! But after 3
frames, Joe German & Mike Williams was the only
ones with a 3 bagger. While Jason & Akil, goes,
strike, open, next 3 bombs for a turkey. To keep
their hopes up for a OBTA title & $800.00. Hodo
struggled after the first frame strike. After the 6th
frame it was only THE GREAT JOE GERMAN with
nothing but strikes. Mike Williams front 5 , spare,

spare, strike, keep him in the hunt to repeat as

champ, and his third title. After the 8th frame it was

a 3 man race. THE GREAT JOE GERMAN, JASON

STERNER and MIKE WILLIAMS. Mike stumble in the

ninth, missing a 3,6,9 spare. Jason Sterner strike,

open, next 7 bombs, Had him breathing down Joe

German neck. He had to feel the heat of Jason

, Ninth frame, Joe let up on the speed a tad, and

paid the price, leaving the 4,6 split. Leaving the door

open to Jason to lock him out. Jason needed 2

strikes and a fill ball, to win his second OBTA 12

week tour title. He buried the first one, But left the

10 pin on the second ball. Leaving the door back

open to THE GREAT JOE GERMAN. Joe needed 2

strikes and count to win. The first one was a Joe

German missle, It was so quite on the lanes, His

missle sounded like it traveled from Iraq, When the

ball hit the pins, the crowd went (DAAAMM). The

second one, was a repeater. All you heard was Joe

German yelling out, ( I FINALLY GOT ONE ) Talking

about his first OBTA 12 week tour title & $800.00,

15 points for high qualifier, 45 points for the title.

RESULTS OF WEEK #4

Week#4 of the OBTA $1800.00 12 Week Points Leaders Tour was with-out 3 out of 4 top points leaders, Jason Sterner , Greg Moneymaker Black jr. & the Great Joe German, The field was the biggest of the previous 3 weeks, bowlers signed in at a respectable time. Making their 12 Week Tour debut, Isom Hawes, Hiriam Mills, James Goodman, James Lockett,Carl Faulk, Bryan Rounds and Roger Butler. Out the gate it was Isom Hawes with a 288 game, letting the field know his presence. Behind him was a senior bowler, Ken Taylor with a 255 game. Bowlers found striking easy, so the numbers was big. After 2 games, It was Isom Hawes 535 leading the way, But also in the field this week was number #3 points leader, Mike Williams, with a 503, Akil Razzak 498. After the 4 games shoot out, Top qualifiers as follows.

In the money game bowlers felt real pressure to become champ, Isom Hawes started with a perfect pocket shot, but the ten pin was still standing, amazed that it was standing, it still stood after Isom threw his spare ball. Mike Williams first pitch was absolutely perfect. By the second 7th frame it was a 2 man race for the $800.00, Isom Hawes & Mike Williams, Isom in the 8th frame threw a hand grenade, That exploded the head pin, Mike 8th frame was another perfect bomb as he walked off the lanes with a certain swag. It didn’t bother Isom, as his 9th frame was twins with the 8th. Mike spared the 9th. Isom known as the Iceman, was just that in the 10th frame with 3 hay makers. But the door was not closed on Mike Williams, He needed 2 strikes & a count to win his second 12 week tour title. Mike first one in the 10th was a little light, but threw pins everywhere to carry the strike. The second one in the 10th was no doubt about it, To capture his second title, $800.00 & 60pts., becoming OBTA money & points leader. Money Game as follows.

The first day of the new day & time was not the numbers OBTA was looking forward to, Hopefully week 4 will have more participation. All bowlers had a chance. Points leader Jason Sterner was
